Date of Death: July 28, 1943, Vries, Holland (27 years old)


Army 2nd Lt. Thomas Vinson Nash, Jr.'s plane was struck by enemy fire and exploded in

mid-air over Vries, Holland. He was buried there for a time in a small church yard until

his body was moved by the U.S. Military to his permanent resting spot in the

United States Military Cemetery located in Margraten, Netherlands.

He was awarded a Purple Heart.
