Ted St. Germaine died of a heart attack at his home on the Flambeau Indian

Reservation.   He was 37 years old by the time he started his professional football

career with the 1922 Oorang Indians.


He was one of three men from the Ojibwe reservation at Lac du Flambeau that

played for the Oorang Indians, the others being  Jim Thorpe, Alex Bobidosh and

George VetternackSt. Germaine became a tribal judge and, in 1932, was the

first Native American admitted to the bar in the state of Wisconsin.
