Paul Salata became famous for creating the Mr. Irrelevant Award in the NFL Draft, awarded

annually to the last overall pick in the year's draft.

He was also an accomplished actor, appearing in many movies during the 1950's such as

Father Was a Fullback (1949), Angels in the Outfield (1951), The Buccaneer (1958) and

Blueprint for Robbery (1961).
