Did you know?

Bob Topp missed the entire 1955 football season because he was serving in the

United States Air Force.  He was on the 1956 New York Giants roster but did

not play in a regular season game. 

Bob Topp was involved in the October 14, 1956 game against the Cleveland Browns

where Topp, using a powerful receiver on the Giants bench, intercepted the Browns

radio signals from coach Paul Brown to his quarterback George Ratterman, and then

passed them on to coach Tom Landry.  The New York Giants won the game 21-9.

Ray Walsh, New York Giants General Manager, was quoted as saying, "It was

one of the most pleasant Sunday's we've ever spent in Cleveland."
