Roosevelt Grier
Rosey Grier started his NFL career as aNY Giant. He played in the infamous 1958 (and 1959) championship games. He assisted his friend Robert Kennedy's campaign for the presidency in 1968 as a bodyguard for the Senator and his wife Ethel. During the tragic events following his victory in the California primary, Rosey wrestled the assassin Sirhan Sirhan to the ground.
