Sorry Julie, I got the info from the old program, I'll have to to check it again. At least I got the fact that your mom was a beauty queen correctt. She must of been a very attractive woman..

This photo isn't Mary Cozan...She was my Mom. Miss Santa Clara County 1949...She passed in 1995. Julie

Yes, it's former 49er, Harley Dow (54) and his team mate Jack Faulk (55). Both were the 1949 San Jose State Co-Captains. The young lady is the 1949 Santa Clara County Fair Queen, Mary Cozan. The picture is a pre-season publicity picture for SJS. Harley played for the 1950 Niners and coached for many years at San Jose City College. Jack coached for many years at several Northern California high schools. I don't know what happened to Mary.

Well, that's too bad. I know that Jack died in '93 and I believe that Harley is still living in the San Diego area. It looks like they had fun. I know that there was another photo of Mary running with the football and she was being chased by the whole team.

What a timely jump between two San Jose State teammates. I wonder what that coed's knees look like?
