About Me

I am a Washington Redskin fan of 60 years and literally have seen not only that franchise, but also the NFL develop over the past six decades. I have written extensively on the Redskins and the NFL for nearly 40 years in my work as a newspaperman.

About Me

Hello, fellow members:

I'm a retired history teacher, lifelong pro football fan, and a wacky collector who's looking for specific autographs of old, relatively obscure NFL / AFL players and coaches, some of whom are deceased, some not.  If anyone out there might have an extra signature (i.e., anything flat - photo, note, gum card, index card, canceled check, envelope, program page, etc.) on my want list to swap or sell, I'd be very grateul.  All help or suggestions appreciated, all correspondence promptly answered, and if I can help you out in any way, I'll be happy to try.  Thanks in advance.         - Mike -

About Me

I've been a football fan for many years. I have a large collection of football cards and autographs on index cards. I like Arkansas and SEC football (none better). Came from the same south Arkansas town (Fordyce) as Paul "Bear" Bryant.

Was honored to have shaken hands with Lance Alworth and to have had an autographed football card of AFL great Sherrill Headrick hand delivered to my door on a Super Bowl Sunday morning!

I have lots of football autographs on index card to trade. Most of my guys from the Oldest Living list are picked over, I may still have a few left to trade!
