Did you know?

Bill Cregar served in the Navy during World War II.

He was once asked about his accomplishments in the classroom while at

Holy Cross.  He was always considered a good student and his coach

Dr. Jock Sutherland took notice.   Cregar said, "In fact, I made better grades

during the football season than I did any other time.  I knew I had only a limited

amount of time to put on the books in the fall and I budgeted myself.

"That's why I got a kick out of the Steeler camp.  When I got there, everything

was so well planned and carefully mapped out that it was easy to get into

the routine."
