Sonny Gandee attended Garfield High School, in Akron, Ohio.

His twin brother, Sherman, died in 1985.  Some web sites have Sherman listed as the

NFL player.  He never played pro-football.  It was his brother Sherwin 'Sonny' Gandee

that was the NFL player.

He spend 19 days with the Dallas Texans in 1952.  He was signed by the Texans on

September 29, 1952 and on October 18, 1952, he was sent back to the Detroit Lions

to fill in for Pat Summerall, who suffered an arm fracture on October 3rd against the

L.A. Rams.

He retired from pro-football on May 21, 1958.
