Larry Hickman was involved in an incident during the 1957 Sugar Bowl game which

saw the University of Tennessee defeat Baylor University 13-7.  In the 3rd quarter,

Larry Hickman kicked Tennessee guard Bruce Burnham in the face and was thrown

out of the game.  Burnham was taken to a local hospital with lacerations on his face. 

After the game, Larry Hickman, being the stand-up young man he was, apologized

to Burnham, the University of Tennessee and to Baylor University.  They all

accepted his heart felt apology.
