Did you know?

During World War II, he served in the Ski Troops and won the Combat Infantry Badge

and Bronze Star.  He also captured a German General while in Italy in 1945.

On January 12, 1948, Jeff Durkota signed a contract with the Cleveland Browns but a mere

three days later, he was traded to the (AAFC) Buffalo Bills for Ohio State's halfback

Bob Brugge.   He later signed and played with the Los Angeles Dons of the AAFC.
