Did you know?

Greg McCrary was waived by the Washington Redskins in October of 1978.  He

thought his career was just about over so he went home.  "I went home to my mother in

Georgia and was about ready to give up the game."  A few weeks later, he got a

call from the San Diego Chargers.  "The Chargers gave me a call and my mother said, Go

out and see San Diego,  it's a beautiful city."  He did and made the team.  In his second game

with the Chargers, he caught the game winning pass from quarterback and future Hall of

Famer Dan Fouts.  He played two more seasons with the San Diego Chargers and one
