He was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the 1st round of the 1962 NFL Draft

and by the AFL Houston Oilers in the 1962 AFL Draft.

On May 5th, 1964, Earl Gros, along with Jim Ringo, were traded to the Philadelphia

Eagles for Leroy Caffey and a #1 draft pick.

Gros played (1) game for the New Orleans Saints in 1970.
